In germany the vocational training of skilled trades is often done within the so called „dual system“ where part of the education takes place at a company and part at vocational school. at the zimmerer ausbildungszentrum we conduct part oft he occupational education of carpentry apprentices from nearly all over baden-wurttemberg.. Carpentry apprentices in south-west germany each year additionally we offer further education and advanced training in the carpentry trade in 75 courses with more than 960 participants training irish craft workers in germany who we are. Apprenticeship. their vocational on-the-job training (apprenticeship) takes place in germany, switzerland or austria. the three countries share a similar professional education and training system. all apprentices go through a 3- to 4-year practical training in a private company..
Germany’s apprenticeship scheme success may be hard to replicate. comment: job insecurity is a fact of life for young people. casual contracts keep spaniards looking for permanent work.. A tradition passed on from the middle ages still continues to this day. as can be seen, upon successfully completing the carpentry apprenticeship, the carpenter is traditionally nailed through the ear to the workshop door or to a piece of timber by his master who taught him during the last 3-years.. Carpentry requires training which involves both acquiring knowledge and physical practice. in formal training a carpenter begins as an apprentice, then becomes a journeyman, and with enough experience and competency can eventually attain the status of a master carpenter. today pre-apprenticeship training may be gained through non-union.
